Students
- PosTrack Mobile uses industry-leading Fixed-Mobile Convergence
to combine a campus assigned DID number with a student’s existing
cellular phone in a single mobile device. Your students keep their
existing cellular account and number while reducing minutes used. The
campus number is linked to the VoIP/Wi-Fi soft-phone within the mobile
device. The dual- band phones make it easy to achieve blanket campus
voice coverage.
PosTrack Mobile reinforces your campus emergency infrastructure. Our
dual-band phones distribute emergency call traffic, so more calls get
through. We also offer emergency text message alerts. PosTrack Mobile
also returns the lost revenue to the campus, since the program may be
configured to generate revenue, pass savings along to students, or any
combination of the two.
Advancement Staff - Availability is a key
factor in maintaining strong donor relationships. By using PosTrack
Mobile as a desktop replacement for development staff, you ensure that
gift cultivation personnel have full connectivity anywhere, on or off
campus. The PosTrack Mobile phone and campus extension will travel with
advancement personnel to and from donor meetings, buildings on campus,
or networking events around the country.
The
“scheduled greeting” feature of PosTrack Unified allows your advancement
team to keep contacts informed about their availability. With Unified
Plus; incoming calls to their extension can follow them to several
numbers on a busy day.
Administrators - When using a PosTrack Mobile
phone, high priority conversations will follow administrators as they
move between campus buildings and off-campus meeting sites. They can
receive a call in their office on their campus extension and seamlessly
roam between cellular, the campus WLAN, and any number of on or
off-campus Wi-Fi hotspots; giving appropriate attention to important
contacts without sacrificing mobility and productivity.
PosTrack Trunking for Existing PBX - As more
and more campuses migrate to a VoIP solution, it is important to be cost
conscious about leveraging existing telephony equipment. SIP technology,
integrated into existing campus PBX systems, is a cost-effective and
forward-looking alternative. PosTrack SIP trunks eliminate PRI and POTS
lines and lay the foundation for extremely rapid implementation of a
full VoIP system (enabling planned & emergency scenarios).
By
choosing PosTrack Trunking as the phone service provider for existing
PBX systems you ensure continuity of features (for example, call hunt
and transfer) with other PosTrack product lines.
Adjunct Faculty - PosTrack Unified provides
adjunct faculty the benefits of a campus DID phone number and voicemail
box without the need for a physical phone. Voice messages from students
and co-workers may easily be checked via e-mail.
Unified
Plus adds the ability to keep virtual office hours by scheduling daily
times when the greeting contains the announcement, “Press 2 to reach me
on my cell phone”. Forwarding the call directly to their private cell
number allows adjunct faculty to be reachable by phone without revealing
their personal contact information.
PosTrack Mobile allows the campus to provide adjunct faculty with a
physical phone and DID campus phone number even if they do not have a
campus office. The dual-band phone allows the adjunct faculty to retain
their private cellular plan but be provided with the benefit of free
voice service provided by the administration while on campus, at home,
and in local Wi-Fi hotspots.
Facilities Staff - The cellular portion of the
dual-band PosTrack Mobile handsets can be disabled, converting the phone
into a mobile WLAN version of a Desktop phone. This allows your highly
mobile facilities staff to take the campus phone and extension along on
service calls and still maintain full connectivity within the campus
WLAN infrastructure. [top]

Administrators -
who spend time at multiple district buildings love the
"no boundaries" communication of PosTrack Mobile. Any call to your
direct line, whether transferred from an assistant or directly dialed,
will always reach your dual-band handset. And you stay connected on a
call even as you move between cellular and Wi-Fi networks, ensuring that
you have streamlined and continuous personal communication while on the
move. Imagine how productive you can be by: 1) making a call while in
your office while connected to your office Wi-Fi (WLAN) network; 2)
traveling to one of the district schools without loosing the call; and,
3) seamlessly returning to free Wi-Fi calling when you enter either your
destination school’s WLAN or you return to your office. With PosTrack
Mobile, you have all the connectivity of your desk phone anywhere you
happen to be. The dual-band handsets have all the productivity features
that you have come to expect from your phones, so e-mail, instant
messaging, web browsing, and more will help you work with greater
efficiency.
Teachers - PosTrack Unified - Providing
physical phones to all teachers isn't always the right fit. With a
virtual mailbox from PosTrack Unified, teachers can give an easily
reachable phone number to parents and student and then check their
messages via e-mail. The most common application for this service is a
“Homework Hotline” that allows each teacher to work directly and
efficiently with their class.
Unified
Plus scheduled greetings allow incoming calls to reach the teacher
directly in a teacher’s lounge, work area, or even a personal cell phone
during free periods at the teachers discretion. This powerful feature
enables teachers to construct a time-sensitive greeting for different
phone numbers for where they will be at different times during the day.
Schedule Changes - Keep parents informed of
Snow-Days, activity cancellations, and schedule changes with PosTrack
Unified. Our automated system will greatly reduce the number of inquires
about closings that your office staff receives. We create cancellation
“hotlines” for your district as well as each individual school. District
administrators and school principals update the mailboxes of these
hotlines with up-to-the-minute information. These updates can be made
from any phone and they include a call forwarding menu. Using the call
forwarding menu, the district hotline connects people directly to their
school for more specific information.
Here’s
an example of what a parent would hear when they call in the morning of
a closing: “Hello this is the school closing hotline and I’m
Superintendent Smith. All district schools will be closed today. For
information on how this will effect the athletic schedule and other
activities please press the button that corresponds to your school.
Press 1 for Lincoln Elementary, 2 for Roosevelt Middle School, and 3 for
Eaton-West High. (Caller Presses 3). Hello, this is Principal Jones at
Eaton-West High. The school cancellation will not effect any of the
athletic games for today but all practices are cancelled. See you at the
game, Go Tigers!”
Multiple Buildings - PosTrack services
seamlessly integrate across multiple school buildings, campuses,
business offices, and athletic centers. Features like intercom dialing,
call transfer, and more will function seamlessly between geographically
separated district locations. Thanks to our use of SIP trunking
technology, the telecommunications barriers that traditionally come with
multiple locations are no longer an issue.
Existing PBX - As more and more districts
migrate to a VoIP solution, it is important to be cost-conscious about
leveraging existing telephony equipment. SIP technology, integrated into
existing PBX systems, is a cost-effective and forward-looking
alternative. PosTrack SIP trunks eliminate PRI and POTS lines and lay
the foundation for extremely rapid implementation of a full VoIP system
(enabling both planned and emergency scenarios). Also, by choosing
PosTrack Trunking as the phone service provider for existing PBX
systems, you ensure continuity of features (for example, call hunt and
transfer) with other PosTrack product lines.
E-Rate - All PosTrack monthly services qualify
for E-Rate reimbursement. For Trunking and Unified systems, Tier 1
E-rate covers everything you need. For Mobile and Desktop, the phones
are the only additional equipment cost, and they are covered under Tier
2 E-Rate, assuming your district qualifies. PosTrack will amortize the
cost of phones in order to facilitate your preferred payment terms.

Executives
- PosTrack Mobile allows executives who split their time between multiple office locations and/or
do a lot of traveling, love the "no boundaries" communication of
PosTrack Mobile. Any call to their direct line, whether transferred from
an assistant or directly dialed, will reach their dual-band handset no
matter where they are. And their call stays even as they move between
cellular and Wi-Fi networks, ensuring uninterrupted conversations.
Imagine taking a call
on your office line as you are about to leave the office, and enjoying
an uninterrupted conversation as you travel. With PosTrack Mobile, you
have all the connectivity of your desk anywhere you need it to be. The
dual-band handsets have all the productivity features that you have come
to expect from your phones, so email, instant messaging, web browsing
and more follow you on your path to excellence.
Remote workers - PosTrack Mobile
allows remote workers to use the same handset and extension at multiple
workspaces. Home office workers have access to all the features of the
office phone system, including the ability to transfer, make and receive
intercom calls. As workers move between home and on-site workstations
their handset and direct dial number can move with them.
5 SIP Devices - PosTrack offers a soft-phone client
that routes calls over your extension to any computer you wish to use.
Your laptop or PC will connect with our soft-switch and become a virtual
phone with your extension. It’s like a remote desktop for your phone.
This offering is especially useful for workers who spend part of their
work week in a home office. Flex-time staff feel more integrated with
the team without a hardware purchase.
Traveling workers - have several options. Workers who travel often
can choose a mobile handset to permanently replace their desktop phone,
which allows their direct office line to easily accompany them on the
move. Workers who only travel occasionally can be issued temporary
mobile phones linked to their direct line or use the software client
described in the “flex-time” section of this mini-site.
Multiple locations
- PosTrack services seamlessly
integrate across multiple buildings, campuses, and geographic areas. Los
Angeles can intercom dial and transfer calls to New York as if they were
one office over. Thanks to our use of virtual SIP trunking technology
the telecommunications barriers that come with multiple worksite
locations are no longer an issue.
